To connect your iPhone wirelessly, you need to connect to the Apple CarPlay® network in your phone’s settings. Be sure to select “auto-connect” for easy access in the future. If your vehicle requires a cord or you need to charge your phone while accessing the infotainment features, all you have to do is plug your phone in and select Apple CarPlay® on the screen. Whichever way you choose, Apple CarPlay® opens up a world of connectivity.
Apple Maps streamlines your navigation process when you use Apple CarPlay® with your phone plugged in. Before you can use this feature, you must first enable the settings with these simple steps:
- Download the My Porsche App and create an account.
- Select your vehicle within the app.
- Choose Apple Maps EV Routing to activate the function.
- Open Apple Maps and tap on the information tile located at the top right of the screen.
- Select “Vehicles” and then choose “Connect Your Porsche.”
- Follow the instructions provided on your phone.
Once you enable Apple Maps EV Routing, your infotainment will automatically use this feature every time you use the navigation system in Apple CarPlay®. With intuitive route planning, this feature makes everything from your daily commute to road trips easier than ever. When you type in your destination, the system will provide convenient recommendations for charging stations on your route. As you drive, the system will use key vehicle information to alert you when charging is necessary.
