Is Electrify America Free for Porsche?
A partner of Porsche, Electrify America is the largest public fast charging network in the U.S. which allows you to charge your electric vehicle in as little as 30 minutes. Porsche offers its customers a special offer where you can charge at participating stations for free for 30 minutes of direct current charging or 60 minutes of alternating current charging while on the go.
Charging on The Go
Porsche owners have access to a growing number of charging stations through its partnership with Electrify America. If you aren’t sure where to find your nearest charging station the Porsche Charging Map provides you with all of the available charging stations in your area.
Whether you’re in Los Angeles, Chino, Chino Hills or beyond you won’t have to worry about not having access to a charging station. The Porsche Charge Planner also comes in handy to help you find charging station stops along your route.
Owners of the new Porsche Taycan also receive unlimited 30-minute charging sessions for three years after purchasing their vehicle. The Porsche Taycan is equipped with two charging ports, the J1772 AC Charging Plug and the CCS Combo Charging Plug.
Battery Status
Porsche Connect which is part of the My Porsche app makes it easy to check your vehicle’s battery status no matter where you are. You can also start and stop the charging process, set a charging timer, and more through the My Porsche app.
For commuting to everyday locations like work or school you can set a location-based charging profile which makes sure that you have the minimum charge required to reach your destination.
